This morning as I watered my flowers, it began to rain. 🙂
Recently, the project I worked on for hours was undone by another person within minutes.
And last Thursday’s detailed plans no longer were applicable for today’s current choice.
Do you wonder if you are wisely investing today’s limited time for tomorrow’s lasting results? Do you ever wish you could know the future? Me too!
The solution is simple – Just one I sometimes forget to apply. The answer is to take our questions to the One who knows the future. God cares from the smallest of details to the largest of issues. Luke 12:6-7 “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.”
God knows the past, present, and future. He sees what we cannot know – even in our best decisions.
So whether I am choosing when to water my flowers or make that investment of time towards a project, I can pause to ask my heavenly Father – the One, who is all-knowing in my current situation and sees my coming days. The One who cares, like no other. The One who is aware of every detail for each human. God gives the guidance needed as we take our choices to Him for direction and wisdom. Sometimes He will give detailed instructions, other times we discover principles to guide our decisions. Either way, our intimacy grows; which is priceless. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
Today, I suggest we pause to ask our Father about today’s choices for tomorrow’s victories. Why? Because the best plan for you and me is His plan. Trust Him – He is a good, good Father. As we trust and obey, we will find His joy – In fact, we will be tickled pink. 🙂
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
From my heart to yours, let’s go live our best future!
