People often ask how I know there is a God. Inquiring minds ponder how one can trust in something he cannot see. Questions form, such as "Where is God in my pain?" "Where is He in my loneliness?" or "Where is God in my daily life?"
Friend, if you, too, are wondering, I invite you to meet Him with me. How? Read His Words. Grab your Bible and dig deep. However, if you are not ready for deep reading, then look at the beauty around you. I see Him in the details of this world. That's what the Apostle Paul had in mind in Romans 1:20 when he said: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been seen, being understood from what has been made so that people are without excuse." (NIV)
Observe the beauty of a flower and the flutter of a butterfly, for through these, God whispers, "Hello, it is me."
Listen to the giggles and watch the wiggles of little people. Here, God whispers, "Hello, it is Me."
Pause at the cool rushing water of a bubbly creek. Soak in the goodness as God whispers, "Hello, it is Me."
Meet Him on the mountain top to breathe in Jesus, and exhale your world.
Again God whispers, "Hello, it is Me." Or perhaps you can pause on a clear night to observe the heavenly host bursting with light, for God whispers, "Hello, It's Me."
How do I know there is a God? Because I see His handprints in the world around me. He whispers, "I am here. I am King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Do you see me? Do you know me? I love you deeply. So much so, I would give my life for you." And He did. As He hung on the cross, He whispered, "It's Me."
Friends, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (ESV) Don't miss Him. As you pause and hear Him in His whispers of His creation, I invite you to open the book of John and know Him fully. He will change everything. He is here in your pain. He is beside you in your loneliness. He cares about every detail. He is inviting you into a beautiful relationship with Him.
If you ever want to know more, I would love to connect!
