Friend, I don't know what you are facing today, but I do know some are facing loss.
To the one who found an unusual lump in her breast, to the friend with hard questions, to the sweet soul who lost her husband; yes, this world has deep life-altering heartache. Loss that makes it difficult to take the next breath. I know, I hear you.
As I attempt to share words of life and strength, the blinking cursor on the white screen taunts me. Today, I am at a loss for words. (Hard to believe, right?)HA! Except to say, Jesus asks us to trust Him even in our worst of worst situations. He is God, He is Good, and He is Good at Being God. I promise.
In your darkest days, you can still trust Him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)
Let Him be your strength and even your joy. He has promised that He is the way, the truth, and the Life. (John 14:6 ESV) As we take Him at His Word, we internalize this promise. He becomes our way in the darkness. He becomes truth in the fog of uncertainty, and life when all energy is drained. It is easy to say, and harder to live out, I know. However, the alternative might be to become angry at God, and as Anne Wilson shares, "Why would I become angry at Him when I need Him most?" When you are hurting, lean in. Yes, life is hard, but God is good. No matter what you are facing today, be reminded that you can trust my Jesus.
Take a minute and listen to the testimony from Anne Wilson. She will bless your soul.
