This weekend I am off for an adventure with the sweet ladies of my home church! We are headed to the beautiful Montreat Conference Center near Asheville, NC. I genuinely wish all of you could join me. (Next year, perhaps? HA!) However, will you remember us in spirit? We will dig deep into the rich passage of Psalm 34. We will answer questions like "Where is God when my heart is broken?" and "How Can I praise God when Life is Crazy?" Would you please pray for every attendee. Pray for me as I teach.
Three Specific Ways to Pray:
Pray for peace as ladies enter the marathon of getting things ready to attend, from securing care for the little ones to finishing work projects and even driving to the mountains. Pray for peace in the panic of just getting to the retreat. Pray for safety as they travel. "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3 (ESV)
Pray for open hearts and a clear message once on campus. Pray for every lady attending to be able to find rest and to be renewed. Pray for the Lord to use this time to strengthen, encourage but also challenge our souls. David prayed, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit." Psalm 51:10-12 (ESV)
Pray for a settled assurance to walk in the truths learned as we return home. Pray that we will be forever challenged and changed for His glory and our good.
I want to thank you in advance, sweet friends! I believe High Heels At His Feet is only possible because a tribe of friends are praying and supporting me and this ministry. The retreat ladies and I thank you! Truly -
