The Before-Dinner Banana Pudding Dive

Yesterday, a sweet soul gifted my family with a homemade meal. Every morsel of food was absolutely divine, but the Banana Pudding especially spoke to my husband. You see, it happens to be his favorite dessert.

The love of my life thought it was appropriate to sneak into the dessert before the main course - when no one was not looking - of course. THEN he tried to convince me that the giver of the pudding sent the sweetness with a missing corner.

When that did not work, with his crooked smile, he blamed it on someone else!!! Be assured that my God-fearing husband did confess to his before-dinner pudding dive! I should not be surprised because his motto seems to be, "life is uncertain, eat dessert first." HAHA!

Perhaps you love banana pudding like my husband and me! However, there is another sweetness I offer to you today. The richness of God's word is even better than the tasty goodness of Banana Pudding! I know, it may seem hard to believe.

But not really, right?

God and His promises are a sweetness that God has offered for us to dig into whenever we want! I am reminded of Psalm 34:3 "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!" His words never fail. His goodness is a gift like no other.

I don't know what you are facing today but perhaps you are hungry for an encouraging word through the richness of a Spiritual treat. Dig in, my Friend, it is yours for the taking. Grab your Bible! Be still and meet with the Lord. It is a sweetness gifted to you and me.
