When You Feel Unloved, Overlooked, and Isolated

Sometimes it is easy to feel unloved when life is normal; but during a worldwide pandemic with large gatherings and southern hugs now a thing of the past, one’s thoughts can play tricks. Be warned, my friends. It is easy to become self-absorbed when you are only seeing self. It is common to hear Satan’s lies. Therefore, it is important to focus on God’s truth especially when in isolation.

So, how does a gal fight the lies? What do I do if I feel unloved, overlooked, and isolated?

You fight the lies with the truth. Life is a battle and we are in spiritual warfare. Here is the ammunition needed to overcome.

Lie: I am full of blame. Truth: I am blameless because of Christ in me. I am forgiven and free. Ephesians 1:4 (ESV)

Lie: I am worthless. Truth: I am God’s special possession. 1 Peter 2:9

Lie: I have no friends. Truth: God is my friend, and I am a friend of God. John 15:14

Lie: I am helpless to obey God. Truth: I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 ESV)

Lie: I am rejected. No one wants me. Truth: I am accepted. I am welcome in the family of God. Romans 15:7

Lie: I am not enough. I am lacking and undone. Truth: I am God’s work of art. I am His workmanship. He has created me for great things! Ephesians 2:10
