You are a Masterpiece

I was drawn to the ‘Flowering Bridge.’

Gorgeous blooms lined a windy path that carried me to a bridge crossing a grand flowing river. The sweet, warm smell was intoxicating. Graceful butterflies fluttered from color to color. I soaked in the beauty and breathed in the freshness.

Permeated by my surroundings, I was elated by the intricate details of my Father’s designs. As I paused to enjoy the beauty around me, I saw His handy work in the beauty. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.”

Friend, flowers have His handprint and signature on each petal, design, smell, and color. Each one differs from another. Every detail, every stem, each leaf have the markings of the Creator. Breathtaking!

However, the truth is, though flowers are His delicate design, You are His Masterpiece. According to Merriam-Webster’s online thesaurus, synonyms and related words of the masterpiece are showpiece, success, gem, jewel, prize, and treasure. That is You! Your every curve, the sparkle in your eye, and creativity in your heart, the dreams within your soul are His creation. When He created you, I believe He was showing off. 🙂 You are a showpiece. You are a treasure. You are a piece of the Master. 

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! Sweet Girl, you are a Masterpiece designed for good works. You were fashioned and formed specifically for your calling. You are equipped for every detail He has for you. Rest in His promise, step into your calling and live with confidence. Because friend, you were created by the Creator for great things. I double dare you to live like it today. 🙂
